Zondervan is a world leader in Christian communications and the leading Christian publishing brand. We work to meet the needs of people with resources that glorify Jesus Christ and promote biblical principles.

Zondervan produces bestselling and award-winning Bibles, books, children’s products, software, audio, video, and digital products.

We have six primary departments, including:

Bibles

As the world's leading Bible publisher, Zondervan holds exclusive North American publishing rights to the New International Version (NIV), which has sold more than 300 million copies worldwide and is the bestselling modern English translation. Zondervan also has publishing rights to the New International Reader's Version (NIrV), Today's New International Version (TNIV), the New American Standard Bible (NASB), and The Amplified Bible (AMP).

Books

Zondervan publishes approximately 200 books per year and our authors number more than 1,500. Zondervan's bestselling authors include Rick Warren, John Ortberg, Lee Strobel, Philip Yancey, Joni Eareckson Tada, C. S. Lewis, Karen Kingsbury, Brandilyn Collins, Bill Myers, Penny Culliford, and Terri Blackstock. Zondervan is the official publisher of The Purpose Driven® Life by Rick Warren, a New York Times #1 bestseller. This work was also honored with the Kip Jordon Book of the Year award at the 2003 and 2004 CBA International Conventions. Zondervan book products are sold worldwide in more than 60 countries and have been translated into nearly 200 languages.

New Media

Zondervan New Media leads by innovation and expertise in the digital arena, including audio, video, ebooks, and software. In 2003, New Media revolutionized the way small groups study the Bible with the "Doing Life Together" DVD series, which offers a wealth of resources including dramatic vignettes, songs for worship, and interactive study sessions. Also in 2003, New Media revolutionized the way to record audiobooks with the Zondervan Mobile Studio, a portable booth made of interlocking acoustic paneling to help authors record audiobooks in their homes. In 2004, The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) honored Zondervan New Media with Zondervan's first nomination for the SIIA's prestigious Codie Award. The SIIA selected the Zondervan Bible Study Library: Scholar's Edition 5.0 as a finalist in the "Best Lifelong Learning Product or Service" category.

Zonderkidz

In 1998, Zondervan re-launched its children’s product group under the name Zonderkidz, to publish and market children’s products. Zonderkidz is a leading publisher of children’s books, Bibles, and Bible storybooks, including The Beginner’s Bible. Zonderkidz partners with Big Idea, Inc. to publish the popular VeggieTales® titles. In 2004, Zonderkidz introduced the Faithgirlz!™ series, featuring characters Lily and Sophie by author Nancy Rue.

Bible & Book Covers

Emphasizing Zondervan’s commitment to preserving quality print resources, we are the largest seller of Bible & book covers in the industry.  We offer innovative designs and convenient features in covers that protect practically any Bible or book.

Vida

Based in Miami, Florida, Vida is the Spanish publishing company of Zondervan. Vida has received several awards for bestsellers in the Hispanic market; among them are the Evangelical Publishing Association Book of the Year Award for Una Vida con Propósito (The Purpose Driven® Life) in 2004 and Una Iglesia con Propósito (The Purpose Driven® Church) in 2003. As the publisher of the Nueva Versión Internacional (New International Version) of the Bible, Vida offers a wide variety of study tools and special Bibles for women, men, youth, missions, and study. Vida is positioned among the leading publishing houses in the Hispanic market and is the only one that distributes every kind of product line needed by the ever-growing Hispanic Christian market in the world: Bibles, study books, popular books, children’s books and Bibles, and music.
