    Basics of Biblical Greek

This software is given email and online support.

Compatibility: This software is compatible with Windows® 95, 98 SE, 2000, ME and Windows NT®. It is also compatible with Mac OS 7.1 or above (Classic only in OS X for version 1.x; Version 2.0 works natively in OS X).

    Q. How can I tell if my computer meets the system requirements listed on this software?

    A. PC: There are several things you can tell by right-clicking on the My Computer icon on your desktop and choosing Properties. The resulting screen will show you what kind of computer you have, which version of Windows you are running, and how much RAM you have installed.

If you double-click on My Computer and then right-click on the drive you would like to install the software on and finally choose Properties, the resulting screen will tell you if you have enough hard drive space available.

Mac: There are several things you can tell by going to the Apple menu and choosing About this Computer. On the resulting screen, you will see the OS you are running as well as how much memory you have installed. Other information is also available.

    Q. Why am I unable to install Teknia Language Tools on my Windows 2000 or ME computer?

    A. Some versions of the program have two installers. Please use the one that says it is for Windows 95 and 98.

    Q. The Launch the Learning portion of the program does not work right for me.  I can't move all the way through or I don't have sound.  What can I do?

    A. Go to www.apple.com and download the latest version of QuickTime.  Then restart your computer and try the sound again.

If this does not work, email us your mailing address to ztech@zondervan.com and we will send you a new CD-Rom.

    Q. When I open Flashworks, I get a message saying "no words match".  What is wrong?

    A. Click on the yellow folder icon and open flashworks.mdb. Then click on the magnifying glass icon. It will tell you how many words it found that match your search. Click OK and click on the yellow smiley face. This will start the program.

    Q. When I attempt to run Flashworks, a run-time error 13 message is generated ("Type Mismatch").  What is wrong?

    A. Here are a couple of suggestions:

    1. If the Flashworks screen will open, click on the picture on the tool bar that looks like multicolored shapes and reads Open Preferences Window. Once in the Preferences window, make sure Mounce is displayed in the window above the size.
    2. Open the Start menu (bottom left corner of the screen) and choose Settings. Then choose Control Panel from the submenu. Double-click Display. Then you should have a tab that says either Effects or Plus. Click on this tab. Look for a choice that says smooth edges of screen fonts. Click the box in front of this line so that its state is the opposite of how you found it. Close out of these windows and try Flashworks again.

    Q. I have both the Basics of Biblical Greek and Basics of Biblical Hebrew CDs.  Why can't I install them both at the same time?

    A. They both install to the same place so whichever one you install second overwrites the first. To correct, install the first one and keep all the defaults. When you install the second one, tell it to install to C:/program files/Teknia Greek (or Hebrew, whichever one you are doing) and for the program directory, do the same.

    Q. I have Tiger (Mac OS 10.4) and can't get the audio file to install.  What do I need to do?

    A.  Please go to www.stuffit.com and download Stuffit Expander.  Then drag the audio.sea file over Stuffit Expander and it will expand.  After expansion, drag the files into the Teknia folder on your hard drive.

    Q. How do I register this software?

    A. You can register your software right here online.

    Q. My question hasn't been answered.  Now what?

    A. Please click here technical support form and choose Software Technical Support from the first drop down menu.
