The Expositor's Bible Commentary for Macintosh

Compatibility: This software is compatible with OS 7 or higher. In OS X, it will work in Classic mode only. It will NOT work on Panther or Tiger. Oak Tree has an upgrade available for purchase, you may contact them by telephone, toll free 877-339-5855 or online at www.oaksoft.com.

    Q. How can I tell if my computer meets the system requirements listed on this software?

    A. There are several things you can tell by going to the Apple menu and choose About this Computer. On the resulting screen, you will see the OS that you are running as well as how much memory you have installed. Other information is also available.

    Q. Is there supposed to be a printed manual included with this software?

    A. There is no printed manual for this software. All manuals are online. To access the online manuals, open the program and go to the Help menu, then choose the Tutorial or Accordance Guide. You may print the manuals out if you would like a printed copy.

    Q. Is there a catalog of other available Accordance titles?

    A. Yes, there is a catalog on your CD and on your hard drive once you have installed the software. It is called Accordance Catalog.

    Q. From time to time the commentary refers to an “appendix” of a particular Psalm, etc. How do I access this?

    A. To view the appendix, you need to open the outline view on the side of the “Tools: EBC” window. Then select in that outline window the particular Psalm that was referenced. What you see is the appendix. You may need to make the outline window wider to see the whole thing.

    Q. I am trying to utilize the map button but the message that popped up said I needed a Bible atlas CD–ROM. Is this something I need to purchase separately?

    A. The map is the Atlas program that can be purchased from Oak Tree software at 877-339-5855 or www.oaksoft.com.

    Q. Every time I open the program, I am asked to register. Then I get Resource error minus 108; I click OK and get “welcome to accordance” and the program loads. Why do I have to register every time I open the software?

    A. Reboot with all extensions turned off and start Accordance. Fill in the registration, then reboot with all extensions on.

    Q. If I have one verse saved in a reference list and have the list saved in my Accordance folder, why won't it let me add another verse to it?

    A. The reference list must be open before you can add another verse to it.

    Q. How do I get the Bible to read out loud?

    A. Select the text that you want read out loud and choose Speak from the Amplify Palette.

    Q. How do I register this software?

    A. You can register your software right here online.

    Q. My question hasn’t been answered. Now what?

    A. Please click here technical support form and choose Software Technical Support from the first drop down menu
