This software is compatible with Windows® 98, 2000 and Windows NT®, ME and XP. It is also compatible with Mac OS 8.6 to 10.x (Classic Mode only).
Q. How can I tell if my computer meets the system requirements listed on this software?
A. PC: There are several things you can tell by right-clicking on the My Computer icon on your desktop and choosing Properties. The resulting screen will show you what kind of computer you have, which version of Windows you are running, and how much RAM you have installed.
If you double-click on My Computer and then right-click on the drive you would like to install the software on and finally choose Properties, the resulting screen will tell you if you have enough hard drive space available.
Mac: There are several things you can tell by going to the Apple menu and choosing About this Computer. On the resulting screen, you will see the OS you are running as well as how much memory you have installed. Other information is also available.
Q. Why can't I see the bottom of the window?
A. If you have your screen resolution set to 1024 x 768, you will be able to see the entire window. If you have it set to 800 x 600, you will not be able to see the bottom of the window unless you change your task bar settings. To do so, right-click on your task bar and choose Properties. Uncheck the box that says Keep the Taskbar on top of other windows.
Q. Why can't I edit these slides?
A. If you do not have a full version of PowerPoint® and are just using the viewer that was included on the CD-ROM, you cannot make any changes to the slides.
Q. I am getting a Director Player error and can't do anything. What's wrong?
A. Your color setting needs to be changed to at least 16 bit. To do so, right click on your Desktop and choose Properties. Then click on the Settings tab and change the colors there.
