Basics of Biblical Hebrew Flashcards for Palm
This software is compatible with Palm OS 4.3 and above.
Q. The software is asking for a serial number. Where do I get this?
A. When you purchase the software from PalmGear, you are given a registration number in your confirmation email. This is the number you need. (It is actually eight letters.)
Q. What is the size of the program once installed?
A. 82K.
Q. How many vocabulary words, or down to what frequency of words in the Hebrew Bible, does the program contain?
A. Because the Palm Pilot Hebrew flashcard program is linked to our Basics of Biblical Hebrew course, the words it includes are all those that occur 70 times or more in the Hebrew Bible, plus a few words that occur less than 70 times. It does not include all proper nouns that occur 70 times or more.
Q. Can I add my own words?
A. No, at this time additions cannot be made to the database.
Q. How do I set a chapter?
A. Select "Quiz" mode (Bottom left)
Select "New Lesson..." from the Menu bar by tapping "FlashCard" at top left of screen
In the "New Lesson..." menu you can select to be quizzed by Frequency or by Chapter. You may include different word forms (Verbs, Nouns, Prep etc.) Then select OK
Q. How are words removed from the list automatically?
A. At the main screen take a guess at the word meaning and then Tap "Show". If you were right select "Yes", if not "No". If you were right, a number is added to the Memorized counter and you are not quizzed on the word again in this lesson. If you were wrong it is added to the Wrong counter and you will be quizzed on the word until you can tap "Yes". In this way the words you have memorized are automatically removed from your lesson. Lessons are saved when ever you go to another application or turn off your Palm device. Only start another Lesson if you are finished memorizing the current Lesson. Selecting another lesson erases the Memorized and Wrong counters and you start again regardless of your Lesson settings.
Q. How do I register this software?
A. You can register your software right here online.
Q. My question hasn’t been answered. Now what?
A. Please click here technical support form and choose Software Technical Support from the first drop down menu.
