Ruth Haley Barton
Ruth Haley Barton is co-founder and president of The Transforming Center. A teacher, spiritual director, and retreat leader, she has served on the pastoral staff of several churches including Willow Creek Community Church and is also the author of several books including Sacred Rhythms, Invitation to Solitude and Silence and Strengthening the Soul of Your Leadership, on which this retreat is based.


Joe Sherman
Joe Sherman is an experienced pastor and publishing and marketing executive who has provided organizational leadership and discernment in a variety of corporate settings, including Zondervan and the Willow Creek Association. Joe is a cofounder of The Transforming Center, providing leadership in strategy, publishing, and liturgy.



Rory Noland (Chicago Only)
Rory Noland is the director of Heart of the Artist Ministries, an organization dedicated to serving artists in the church and to helping turn teams of church artists into communities of grace. A composer, songwriter, author, and speaker, Rory served for twenty years as music director at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois.
